Avillion Layang Layang Underwater Digital Photo Shootout 2011 Results

Each of the participating divers undertook the challenge of creating beautiful and creative images during their dives around Layang Layang, with contest rules permitting everyone to submit up to three images in each of two categories — macro and wide-angle.

Given the world-renowned, rich waters around Layang Layang, as well as the determination and skill of the contest participants, it’s no surprise that the top images from the 2011 event are simply amazing! The winning pictures for Wide angle 1st placing won by Mr Im Eun Jae from Korea and Macro 1st placing by Mr Sean Keith from USA. The list of winners is shown here.

Contestants won packages from Avillion Layang Layang, Walindi Resort PNG and Coral Redang resort at Redang Island, Malaysia, as well as Diver UK annual subscriptions and equipment such as Apeks dive watches, Nikon D300, Nauticam housing, Tatonka adventure gear and many other attractive prizes.

Winning images are published on the Avillion Layang Layang website (www.avillionlayanglayang.com), Sport Diving Magazine, Australia, EZ dive magazine, Diver UK and many other international dive publications.

Layang Layang Island Resort is a man-made atoll located in the deep, blue waters of Sabah, Malaysia.
