From November 2008 until the end of April 2009, the MV Andaman Seafarer is running regular trips out of Thailand to top dive sites in the Marine National Parks of Similan and Surin Archipelagos, as well Richelieu Rock in the Andaman Sea, which is renowned for its whale-shark encounters.
