Gourmet dive weeks
2 July 2009
Sample a new type of diving experience every day and enjoy gourmet dinners every evening - that's the appealing idea behind a new dive festival in the Pacific archipelago of Palau, Micronesia.
Offering five themed diving days, ranging from shark encounters to blue holes to Japanese war wrecks, the 2009 Palau Diversity Fiesta is organised by local centre Fish 'n Fins, [http://www.fishnfins.com] "to celebrate the uniqueness and diversity of Palau diving".
It all happens from 16-30 September, but guests can, says Fish 'n Fins, arrive on a choice of days and still complete a full week's programme - at a cost of US$1950 per person, including 7 nights' hotel accommodation, 5 days' diving, airport transfers (but not international flights), breakfast, lunch, and participation in all fiesta special activities.
In addition to the Diversity Fiesta, Fish ‘n Fins runs a series of special events every year, including Palau Shark Week in March, Wrexpedition in June, and Photographers' Special in October.
