With single-person supplements often making the cost of travel difficult or prohibitive, dive tour operator Regaldive has introduced a choice of top spots for solos to stay with the aim of "reducing cost to a minimum".
"No, or very-low single supplements are available in the Red Sea, the Caribbean, Indonesia, Thailand, South Africa and all liveaboards," says the company.
Meanwhile, cost-conscious divers looking for a Red Sea winter break can benefit from Regaldive packages to Sharm in January from just £299 per person. Based at the Creative Mexicana Hotel, the trips depart from Gatwick on 10, 17, 24 and 31 January, and include transfers and seven nights' accommodation. Three-day dive pack starts at £89.
