Sandals opens new Bahamas resort

Featuring 183 luxury rooms and suites, "all oceanfront, all extremely spacious and all serviced by butlers trained by the Guild of Professional English Butlers", the latest addition to Sandals' resorts is bordered by a one-mile stretch of white Caribbean sand.
Located in the Bahamas' Exuma islands, Sandals Emerald Bay offers divers unlimited free dives with all equipment provided and two boat trips per day. "With dramatic walls, blue holes, undisturbed beds of coral reef and the intact Austin Smith shipwreck lying in 60ft of water, divers can explore the vibrant life of the coral reef and experience the romance of discovering a piece of history," says Sandals.
Diving is not restricted to experienced divers, with the shallow local reefs providing stable conditions for PADI introductions and training.
An extensive range of other facilities at the new resort includes three swimming-pools, tennis courts, golf course, spa, restaurants and bars.
Sandals Resorts specialises in providing couples with romantic holiday experiences in the Caribbean. There are currently 14 "Luxury Included" Sandals Resorts, located in Jamaica, Antigua, St Lucia and The Bahamas.
