A warm welcome

With dive sites varying from inner fringing reefs with depths from 9-18m to outer banking reefs descending to more than 50m - plus some fascinating wreck sites - there is plenty for both the beginner and the most experienced of divers, says the Barbados Tourism Authority.

But it adds, "The one thing that doesn't vary about Bajan dives sites is that the locals who run the dive shops will help illuminate what you see and discover with their knowledge and passion about what lies beneath the crystal clear seas."

In addition to outstanding coral formations and impressive barrel sponges, the island is renowned for marine life including turtles, stingrays, barracuda, parrot fish and moray eels.

"Rare species including the seahorse and frogfish, often difficult to see elsewhere, can also be discovered."

The Barbados Tourism Authority will be exhibiting on stand 929 at the forthcoming London International Dive Show, at ExCeL on 26/27 March.
