WET n DRY Dry suit survey
HUNTER PRO VSN 1100 TEK (675) THE SUITS

Distributor: Hunter 01387 269591
First Impressions: An obviously high-quality product. I cannot find any detail that doesnt look well-finished. It looks to be extremely well made.
Material and Construction: A stretchy rubbery material with vulcanised seams. The stitching looks perfect. There is only one seam at the crotch, which means less chance of a long-term leak.
Boots: Hunter standard neoprene-lined boot, glued and taped to the leg.
Zip: Mediumweight, glued in.
Seals: Bellows-style latex neck seal, glued inside, taped on the outside, with a high smoothskin and towelling collar over. Very long conical latex wrist seals.
Wrist Seal Contact Length: 4cm.
Knee Pads: Reinforced rubber.
Valves: Apeks rotating inflation valve and auto dump with gaskets both inside and out.
Notable Other Features: Two nice big pockets with D-rings, stitched then glued to the suit, but positioned on the side of the leg which increases a divers profile when passing through small openings. Clip-on braces.
Ease of Dressing: Would have been straightforward if not for over-complicated braces.
In The Water: I was very comfortable and bone dry. The valves were perfectly positioned. The discomfort of the over-collar outweighed the advantages of possible added warmth. Its too high. It made my neck sore. Without that, its perfect. The collar is modified on later suits to be lower-cut and of neoprene.
Approx. Weight: 2.7kg.
Made-to-Measure: Stock sizes only, with alterations possible.
Tested by: George Buxton.
