WET n DRY Dry suit survey
WATERPROOF ANTARCTIC 2000 (685) THE SUITS

Distributor: CPS Partnership 01424 442271.
First Impressions: Not a bad-looking Swedish suit but it came without the valves fitted, which could be a daunting prospect for a beginner. Nice details like the zipped wrist-seal guards at the cuffs. Delightful.
Material and construction: Neoprene, heavily stitched and taped.
Boots: Kevlar coated with fin-retainers and nice deep tread soles. High-quality finish and reinforced at the right places. Stitched and taped on the inside. Very comfortable, too.
Zip: The weak spot. Mediumweight 8 pitch.
Seals: Latex seals with neoprene collar and cuffs.
Wrist Seal Contact Length: 3cm.
Knee Pads: Flexible and partway down the shin.
Valves: Waterproof (like Viking). Rotating inflation valve and low-profile auto-dump.
Notable Other Features: No pockets.
Ease of Dressing: Ten out of ten. Beautiful. Effortless. A lovely stretchy suit thats as easy to get into as a wetsuit.
In The Water: Although I feel that the soft neoprene might easily puncture on a wreck, it made for effortless swimming and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The stretchy material means it will grow with you!
Approx. Weight: 5.5kg.
Made-to-Measure: Stock sizes only.
Tested by: Gerry Gooch.
