Sponsored by the Historical Diving Society, the conference is the 28th such event.

The line-up of speakers so far includes Franz Rothbrust, who designed the first housing for the Hans Hass Decobrain “computer” (presenting “Peter Kreefte and the Design, Manufacture and Diving of a Replica of his Apparatus”); Gary Wallace-Potter (“Alexander Lambert – A 19th-Century Diving Hero”); explosives expert Mick Fellows (“An Explosive Life”); and Dr John Bevan (“John Deane’s Crimean War-Diving Operations”).

Tickets for the conference including refreshments cost £35. The event is followed at the same venue by the society’s annual dinner, which costs £40.
