Visitors to the show, which takes place at the NEC Birmingham on October 22 and 23, are being encouraged to get behind the cause and show their support for the Armed Forces.
Former Royal Marine Matt Croucher GC, who famously won the George Cross for leaping on a grenade to save his colleagues, has helped bring the BFF and the diving community together.
"We are about to launch the Matt Croucher Appeal as part of our work," explained the charity's CEO Mark Cann, "and Matt has stipulated that the Deptherapy Foundation – a revolutionary approach to rehabilitation for former servicemen and women through scuba diving – should benefit from that, which we are extremely happy to do and are very much looking forward to working with them."
The BFF puts on shows in operational theatres all over the world, primarily through high quality entertainment with big-name stars, but it is also lateral and contemporary in numerous other award-winning projects designed to bring the public and their Armed Forces closer together.
The shows and other projects - paid for by donations - convey the gratitude of the British public for the work of the Armed Forces and the sacrifices they make.
The NEC Dive Show is the UK's biggest scuba diving event, attracting over 300 exhibitors and 15,000 visitors each year.
Visitors to DIVE 2011 will be able to test the latest kit, book diving holidays and training courses, try out new equipment and see top diving speakers including Monty Halls, Paul Rose and Andrea Marshall.
