Bite-Back raises tidy sum

The money is being split equally between Bite-Back Shark and Marine Conservation and Marie Curie Cancer Care.

One hundred and thirty guests, the majority of them active divers, enjoyed a three-course dinner aboard a riverside functions vessel in London’s Thames in September.

Entertainment was provided by a traditional Fijian dance troupe to reflect the event sponsorship of Tourism Fiji.

Some fine prizes were either auctioned or raffled, top take being a two week diving holiday for two to Fiji including flights, transfers and diving fees.

Generous provision from the diving industry secured other prizes including holidays and diving equipment.
