Greek divers attempt dolphin rescue

A team of Greek divers, sent to Thailand to help search for bodies, have been attempting to rescue two rare Indo-Pacific Humpback dolphins which are trapped in a lake in south Thailand.

The dolphins appear to have been swept inland by the tsunami and have become trapped in a lake. Both mammals appear to be exhausted and one is injured, but they have so far eluded attempts to catch them.
The dolphins have been stranded in the 200m x 300m lake for eight days, and may not survive much longer.
The rescue attempt is being coordianted by the Wildlife Rescue Unit of Thailand.
