Vobster hosts first DPV time trial
|
Thrills and hopefully not too many spills are promised at the country's first time trials event for diver propulsion vehicles, at Vobster Quay inland site in Somerset.

Team entries, each of two divers, are invited to take a Le Mans-style start from the quayside and track round four buoy lines over a course that should take about half an hour to complete.
There's a handicap system to account for scooter brands' differing performance. Manufacturers like X-Scooter, Apollo, SeaDoo and Torpedo will be displaying and participating. Let's hope the race stewards can spot any tweaked machines!
The DPV time trials take place on 29 August. Entrance is free and there are prizes for first, second and third places.
