The charity, which supports people with learning disabilities, is asking divers to take part in Dive:24, a 24-hour sponsored scuba diving event which can be conducted by groups anywhere in the UK over the weekend of 18/19 June.
Each team must consist of at least 12 pairs of divers, diving in rotas for a total of 24 hours. You can spend your full diving day either indoors or out in the wilds of nature - but the most important thing is that each diver raises at least £50 in sponsorship.
The money generated by all those diving hours on the bottoms of swimming pools will be used, says the charity, to 'help Mencap support children and adults with a learning disability, their families and carers'.
