The owner of the half-metre-long tropical shark had decided that it was no longer feasible to look after the animal. It arrived at the aquarium, near Portsmouth on the South Coast, slightly under par and was placed in a quarantine tank.
However, staff described the creature as basically in 'good condition', and hope that it will make a 'full recovery' before joining the aquarium's main display of tropical sharks.
