Corin Long, 40, described as an experienced diver, lost consciousness after surfacing. It was thought he suffered DCI following a fast ascent. He did not survive, despite the efforts of an emergency crew.
A father of four, Long was one of Britain's leading classical musicians, working as principal double bassist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
