A new series, Real Men Under Pressure, kicks off on BBC1 at 7pm - and the first, hour-long episode follows the work of three divers aboard a dive support ship steaming 100 miles out from Aberdeen into the North Sea's oilfields.
The documentary shows how they live for a whole month in a chamber aboard the ship, so that they can make regular oilfield dives down to depths of 200m. It does make that precautionary five-minute decompression stop on a Sunday afternoon seem the smallest of inconveniences!
