Now in its third year, the event is becoming established as one that combines presentations, workshops, kit talk and socialising.
Run at the London Welsh Centre, at 157-163 Gray's Inn Road, London WC1, this year's event features a talk by Jeff Cornish on the recent exploration of the 160m-deep liner Carpathia, 200 miles off south-western Britain. It is thought to have been the furthest from land any sport diving team has ever gone to carry out a deep diving programme.
Co-organised by London Divers and the British Sub Aqua Club's London Regional Coach, the London Festival of Diving takes place the day after BSAC's London-based Diving Officers' Conference and awards dinner.
But although geared to be as convenient as possible for congregating BSAC divers, the festival welcomes divers of all persuasions
Tickets cost ?6 per head. Enquiries to Louise at louise@londondivers.com or Kate at kate_on_tour@hotmail.com, or visit the London Divers website to book and pay online.
