Fabien Cousteau joins LIDS 2008 speakers
|
The latest addition to the speaker line-up at March's London International Dive Show (LIDS 2008) is diving conservationist Fabien Cousteau, grandson of Jacques and son of Jean-Michel.

Robot-shark diver Fabien replaces South African shark-diver Mike Rutzen, who had to withdraw from LIDS due to filming commitments.
Also of major interest to marine-life lovers at the show, which takes place at ExCeL over the weekend of March 8/9, will be TV's Monty Halls, talking about his Swimming With Giants film but in particular his latest odyssey, which will see him cover thousands of miles in search of sharks and other remarkable marine life.
Free-diving phenomenon Sara Campbell will tell the story of how she managed to break three world records in a weekend last year, and technical diver Jarrod Jablonski has also been breaking ground in recent months, helping to establish what is the longest cave in the USA.
There is no better place than the Dive Shows to find out about cutting-edge wreck-diving projects. Deep-wreck specialists Richie Stevenson and Carl Spencer team up to give an engrossing insight into exploring the Carpathia, which lies in 156m of North Atlantic water, 225 miles west of Land's End. That's challenging diving.
Even deeper diver Mark Ellyatt will describe his dives on the extraordinary wreck of HMS Victoria, which stands vertically in the depths off Lebanon.
And submarine-hunter Innes McCartney is back with the full story of his discovery of the Nazi warship HK Komet in the Channel.
Other attractions at LIDS include more than 220 exhibitors offering the latest in dive holidays, training courses and gear - to browse and to buy - plus rebreather and beginner try-dive pools, underwater image galleries and the new British Isles Experience area.
