They were diving in the Komodo National Park in the Nusa Tenggara islands when they were thought to have been swept away in a current.
After 24 hours Indonesian police and navy rescue teams were still understood to have been searching without success for the group, which consisted of two British women and a man, a Swedish woman and a French man.
Ernest Lewandowski, a divemaster whose wife, Kathleen Mitchinson, was among those missing, told AFP that the search was being hampered by lack of fuel for aircraft. |
