Divers congregate at the port’s Mount Batten Centre, on the eastern side of Plymouth Sound, in order to venture forth and take pictures in a number of categories. Well known wrecks which can be used as ‘sets’ include the James Eagan Layne and the somewhat younger HMS Scylla – the Royal Navy frigate sunk last year as an artificial reef.
An evening of judging and conviviality follow. For the second year, a digital category joins time-honoured film. A prints section for shots taken previously is also run. Details - www.bsoup.org
