On 16 December, Divernet published the company's statement that it was treating as suspicious the disappearance of a large consignment of photographic products, including cameras, wide-angle lenses and underwater housings.
'Well it turns out that the cargo was misdirected at Heathrow airport,' Sea & Sea's Vic Bonfante told Divernet. 'It was wrongly labelled and ended up in one of Heathrow's distribution hubs in the West Midlands!' Sea & Sea is based at Paignton, in Devon.
Bonfante added: 'We did have a laugh about it, once the serious matter of recovering the consignment had been resolved.'
