A prominent researcher at the Diving Diseases Research Centre (DDRC) in Plymouth, Marguerite has built a reputation for her research into the effects of diving on human health, including a pioneering scientific study looking at diving and the menstrual cycle. Recently, she has collaborated on ground-breaking research into the effects of flying and high altitude on divers who have been treated for decompression sickness. She wins the prize for her overall body of work and the immense contribution she has made to diving research, says the DDRC. She will travel to Buckingham Palace on Wednesday 29 November accompanied by colleagues from DDRC to collect her award. |
