Its Go Dive campaign aims to tempt ex-divers back into the sea. Sixty club branches around the country have agreed to run the scheme, which is open to all sport divers, whichever agency they used for training.
By signing up with a branch to participate in Go Dive, former divers can take refresher training courses and dive with branch members. They also receive a DVD containing footage of popular dive sites around Britain such as HMS Scylla off Plymouth.
Taking up the Go Dive offer does not involve joining BSAC but the club hopes that a proportion of participants will enjoy the experience enough to enrol as active diving members.
