Records were taken at previously unvisited sites. These included Cardigan Bay, to observe bottlenose dolphins; the Gower peninsula, recording octopus and rare skate species; Poole Bay, using multibeam sonar to find low reefs and rock clusters rich in sponges and sea squirts; and sites in Scotland's Moray Firth and at Eyemouth.
More regular survey sites were Lundy Island, West Wales, South Devon, Northumberland, Sussex and Donegal. |
