The lobbie was captured after a diver found it while finning about near the harbour's main jetty.
Captor Chris Hovard said: 'I could hardly get my hands across the back of its shell... I managed to get it with a pincer movement.'
A spokeswoman at Sea Life confirmed to Divernet that the lobbie had settled in well. Pity to have confined it after so long a life in the open sea - but at least it won't end up on a dinner plate, or 10.
