The diver has been named as George Hendry, 54, from Rendall. His body was recovered from the sea by Stromness Lifeboat last Saturday.
Hendry went missing after entering the water from a dive charter boat to explore a wreck. A search by air and sea was coordinated by Shetland Coastguard and, after about two hours from the time the alarm was raised, his body was found and recovered aboard Stromness Lifeboat.
Meanwhile, the remains of a body, still in its dive suit, have been recovered by Avon and Somerset police divers after being found by a diver off Dorset.
The remains were located on a 30m-deep seabed, about 120m from the wreck of the Kyarra, off Swanage. DNA analysis will be used to identify the individual, who is likely to be one of two divers lost together in 2005.
In August that year, Lynne Pembroke, 49, and Mark Steel, 22, went missing while diving on the Kyarra. No trace of their bodies was found, despite extensive searches by sport and police divers.
