The best of British diving

Divers who want to learn more about diving in the UK will be well catered for at this weekend's London International Dive Show (LIDS 2008).

That's because, for the first time at a Dive Show, there will be a special area dedicated to British diving where they can discover all they need to know - from finding a local club to dive with, to locating a charter boat skipper who really understands their diving needs.
The British Isles Experience at LIDS 2008 will feature dive charter boats from around the country which specialise in exploring some of the spectacular wrecks and marine-life sites for which our coastline is renowned.
There will also be guidance on club diving from the British Sub-Aqua Club and the Sub-Aqua Association, plus some pointers on key diving areas and marine-life encounters from those in the know.
They'll even be a British-themed snack area where visitors can relax and mull over plans for exploring some of the great diving on our doorstep
Other attractions at LIDS 2008, which takes place at ExCeL over the weekend of March 8/9, include an impressive line-up of diving speaker featuring Fabien Cousteau, Monty Halls and free-diving phenomenon Sara Campbell.
As well as more than 220 exhibitors offering the latest dive holidays, training courses and gear - to browse and to buy - in-hall features at the show include rebreather and beginner try-dive pools, and underwater image galleries.
