According to South Florida's Sun Sentinel, 29-year-old Ian Morfii, from Miami, was freediving with friends on the wreck of the Thunderbolt, an artificial reef off Marathon in the Florida Keys, when he went missing on 18 March.
Morfii's companions raised the alarm upon surfacing and a nearby boat, New York Doll, was able to respond. Scuba divers aboard descended and recovered Morfii's body from the seabed. Morfii had been submerged for some 30 minutes. |
