Latest example is that of an easily dived ship off the island of Pserimos, near Kos.
Stephen Whitfield, Manager at Kos’ Liamis Dive Centre, told Divernet:
“It’s a cargo ship called the Thor Star and we think it originates from Svendborg in Denmark.
“The ship is 65m-70m in length and sits in two equally long sections, one at 18m, the other at 12m. It is a great wreck dive for experienced and novice divers, with great visibility and no tides or currents.”
Whitfield said that efforts were being made to “learn more about the ship and the circumstances surrounding its sinking”.
