After holding up a bank with a rifle in Olympia, Washington State, and leaving with $6000, Charles Everett Coma was spotted by police crashing his car through a gate in an industrial area, then climbing out of the vehicle carrying scuba tanks.
It turned out that he was wearing a wetsuit under his clothes and had planned to slip into the water at Puget Sound to evade his pursuers, but police caught him before he left dry land.
Coma was on supervised release for a bank robbery he committed in 2004. |
