Mandy-Rae Cruickshank of Canada broke the record during the second PFI Cayman Competition, reaching a depth of 88m in 2 minutes and 48 seconds. This record was held previously by Natalia Molchanova of Russia, at 86m.
Mandy-Rae, 32, has been freediving competitively since 2000.
