On Sunday, 23 September, a Polish diver was lost while diving reportedly to 125m in Dahab's Blue Hole.
On Wednesday, 26 September, a Dutch national died in the Canyon, on a dive reportedly to 85m. It is understood that the accident was triggered by a complication in gas-switching.
They are the latest in a line of more than 150 sport divers to have lost their lives in Dahab's alluring waters, which include attractive, deep-plunging reefs and the notorious Arch, under which many an ill-prepared diver has come to grief.
