By popular demand over recent years there have been more interactive experiences within the hall itself, and at DIVE 2012 this process will be taken a step further with the introduction of the DIVER Stage.
This will allow a programme of main guest-speaker presentations to take place closer to the exhibition stand areas, as well as on the Concourse Stage in the permanent presentation rooms next to the Show entrance.
Other speakers not to be missed include:
* Mark & Gail Addison and their daughter Ella, who are big names to international TV audiences, describing diving with sharks - including tigers, raggies and great whites - in South Africa.
* Leading UK underwater photographer Alex Mustard, whose Be A Champ articles in DIVER have been causing a stir, presenting a double-header with that other great luminary of the lens, Martin Edge.
* Mark Dixon and Jeff Cornish - representing the Darkstar technical-diving team, which has been carrying out some of the most adventurous deep wreck dives around the UK in recent years.
The UK's biggest and most popular event for divers, DIVE 2012 will feature more than 300 companies offering diving gear, holidays and services, plus a host of special attractions. These include two in-hall diving pools, the British Isles Experience, the popular PhotoZone and the 3D NoTanx Freedive Simulator.
The show's PADI Village will feature attractions including a special seminar area, and BSAC will have a strong presence, with not only its main club stand, but also a series of BSAC Pods run by local branches and a new Kidz Zone.
There will also be a free-to-enter draw for all Show visitors to win a 12-day dive trip for two to South Africa worth £7500!
DIVE 2012 opening times are 9.30-6.00 on Saturday 27 October and 9.30-5.00 on Sunday 28 October.
Ticket prices start at just £7.50 for groups of 6 or more divers (a saving of £4 per person off the full price of £11.50).
