The six friends, who live in the Solihull area, have arranged to dive Eccleston Delph, Capernway, Vivian Dive Centre, Stoney Cove, Dosthill Quarry and the National Diving and Activity Centre, over 13 and 14 June.
Each dive will last for about 30 minutes and will range between 18m and 25m in depth.
Dive Master Chris Davies, Rescue Diver John Mottran and Advanced Divers Pete Staien, John Carroll, Paul Beardmore and Gary Rumney are going through the driving and diving hoops to raise money for Help for Heroes, which supports injured service men and women.
The team, Chris Davies told Divernet, is grateful to all the dive sites involved “for their help and support and granting us free admission”. And, as all the men work at Solihull’s Land Rover factory, they have managed to get their hands on three loaned 4x4s for the trip!
Three other friends will act as drivers, with a fourth going along to capture the divers’ escapades on camera.
The men hope to raise some £2000 from family, friends and work colleagues in return for a successful six-site foray. Any diving readers who feel like supporting the cause can contact Chris Davies on mobile 07939 029608 or by emailing to cdiver@blueyonder.co.uk
