British photo championship

29 June 2009

The British Splash-in Championship 2009 takes place in Plymouth, Devon this Saturday, 4 July.

Organised by the British Society of Underwater Photographers (BSoUP) in association with Plymouth’s National Marine Aquarium, the event welcomes all diving photographers, whether BSoUP members or not.

Free to use either slide film or digital cameras, participants will be taken out to sea in boats laid on at the Mount Batten watersports complex on the east side of Plymouth Sound, and their efforts viewed and judged by a public audience at the aquarium in the evening. The overall competition winner will be decided by a panel of judges.

Participants are welcome to register for the competition on arrival at Mount Batten on the evening of 3 July, although pre-registration is preferred. The date has passed (24 June) for registration guaranteeing tickets for a Saturday evening barbeque, but tickets may still be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

For competition categories, rules and prizes, along with a downloadable entry form, go to www.bsoup.org

Completed entry forms should be emailed to Martha Tressler, Splash-in Co-ordinator, at martha@mtressler.com
