Bends evacuations

On Saturday, 15 August, a woman diver was airlifted from the charter boat Fintan off Plymouth. She was flown by an SAR helicopter from RNAS Culdrose to Plymouth’s Diving Diseases and Research centre (DDRC) for recompression.

On the same day, a male diver was lifted off the dive boat Skin-Deep in Weymouth Bay by the Portland Coastguard helicopter. He was transferred to an ambulance in Poole and taken for recompression treatment.

On Sunday, a male diver was evacuated by the Dover Coastguard helicopter from a position about seven miles off Eastbourne. He was flown for recompression at London’s Whipp’s Cross Hospital.
