Snorkelling grant for BSAC

The money will be used, says the BSAC, to promote snorkelling to "a new range of people" and to train probably "several hundred" young snorkelling instructors of up to 18 years of age.

Promotional mailings are being sent to BSAC members under 18 and to branch diving officers.

"The grant...is particularly important to me as I am keen to encourage young people to participate in sport, support the growth of BSAC branches and to promote and develop snorkelling," said Dr Jeff Reed, BSAC National Diving Officer.
