Cinematographer Dan highlights shark research

19 March 2010

Professional underwater cinematographer Dan Beecham has confirmed his appearance at the Visions in the Sea Underwater Photography Show at the forthcoming London International Dive Show (LIDS 2010) at ExCeL on March 27/28.

Having spent the past three years covering assignments for Save Our Seas Foundation, Dan's underwater film work in more than a dozen countries has included pioneering shark research in Fiji, Scotland and Mexico which will feature in his presentation.

New to LIDS this year, the Visions in the Sea Underwater Photography Show will feature many top diving photographers and videographers. Free to all visitors, it will form part of a remarkable array of attractions at LIDS 2010 devoted to the world of underwater images.

Other top diving speakers at this year's LIDS will include marine-life specialists Paul Rose, Monty Halls, Mike Rutzen (describing freediving with great white sharks in South Africa), Andrea Marshall (the manta rays of Mozambique) and Richard Peirce (great white and blue sharks in the Med).

As well as expert training advice, an abundance of dive gear to try and buy, and the latest dive holidays, show features will include try-dive pools for beginner and rebreather divers and an RNLI Sea Simulator.

Visitors buying tickets before 24 March will benefit from a saving of up to £4 per ticket.
