Dolphinarium plan raises protest

23 July 2010

A Gibraltar wildlife group is resisting plans for the creation of a dolphinarium in the British overseas territory.

The Gibraltar Ornithological and Natural History Society has mounted a resistance campaign in response to considerations being given by the Gibraltar government.

On the table is a proposal to establish a dolphinarium stocked most probably with bottlenose dolphins, caught regionally or imported from Asia.

Those who wish to support the stance of the GONHS can do so via a Facebook campaign link.
