European Shark Week is under way

This is European Shark Week, in which marine groups are highlighting threats to sharks in a bid to achieve stronger protection under EU law.
Conservation group Bite-Back kicked off European Shark Week by spreading the anti-finning message in London's Chinatown, where they rather like their shark fin soup. After several forays there over the past year, volunteers from both Bite-Back and Sea Shepherd have persuaded three restaurateurs to remove the soup from their menus.
