Winner of the trip, run by African Space, will enjoy the classic sardine run off South Africa’s eastern seaboard.

The African Space Sardine Run Exhibition will run next June, based at the small fishing village of Port St John’s.

As sardines spawn and move north along the coast, whales, sharks, dolphins and seals move in to feed. Divers observing them have an "incredible experience", says African Space.

Divers qualified to at least PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent can enter at the forthcoming DIVE 2010 exhibition, held at Birmingham’s NEC over 30 and 31 October. Go to African Space's stand 516.

All proceeds from the raffle held at the show will go toward African Space’s £50,000 fundraising effort to construct a medical centre in the village of Itete in Kilemberovil.
