The diver, named as Lt Col Mary Ewing, 45, an American soldier living in Surrey, was not seen again after getting separated from her buddy during a dive in Weymouth Bay on Saturday 5 March.
Lt Col Ewing was with members of a civilian club diving from a local charter boat on the Adamant Shoal, near the Lulworth Banks.
The Lulworth Banks area is known for its scallops, collected during drift dives at depths of not more than about 25m.
Searches were mounted on 5 and 6 March by the Coastguard’s Portland helicopter, both Weymouth lifeboats, Dorset Marine Police and commercial craft including dive boats.
On 11 March the BBC reported that members of Lt Col Ewing's diving club planned to carry out seabed searches for her body over the "coming days".
Portland Coastguard told Divernet that, during the morning of 11 March, local dive boats and a police boat had carried out sidescan sonar searches.
They had not detected any anomaly that could be the body of Lt Col Ewing.
At 11 March the incident continued to be treated by the police as a missing persons inquiry.
