It is looking to “meet old buddies and share sub-aqua tales” aboard a river cruise vessel, complete with live folk music.
Boarding of the Oldenburg starts at 7pm on Bideford Quay, for a 7.30pm departure up the Taw Torridge Estuary, passing Appledore and Instow.
Tickets cost £15 – to include, naturally, a free Devon pasty – and can be booked by ringing the club’s secretary, Steph Foster, on 01237 423819.
Alternatively, locally based attendees can obtain tickets from the Lundy Shore Office on Bideford Quay.

Founded by local shipwrights, Appledore SAC was originally called Appledore Shipbuilders Sub-Aqua Club.
It developed rapidly, helped in no small part by the availability of the shipyard’s meeting rooms and outdoor swimming pool.
“Breaking the ice prior to winter pool training was not uncommon,” says the club’s longest serving member, Richard Back.
By 1976 the club had become the 35th branch of the newly affiliated Sub-Aqua Association and opened its membership to the wider community.
Nowadays, Appledore SAC is a well-sourced entity capable of providing broad-ranging diving experiences.
Members have a hardboat, Compass Rose, from which to dive in fabulous areas including the Lundy Marine Reserve and the Isles of Scilly. Red Sea holidays are also organised.
"The success of Appledore Sub-Aqua Club and the resources that it now has at its disposal enable the promotion of affordable scuba diving in Devon’s coastal waters and beyond,” says Mike Deaton, Chairman.
"This is testament to the hard work of the many members who have passed through the club over the years.
"You know who you are, so why not come along and share a couple of hours with old dive buddies?”
