From 1 June, members of the BSAC who introduce new members to the Club will receive a £185 discount off a new Northern Diver drysuit – and so will their friend. And for snorkellers or warm-water divers, there is an alternative discount of up to £50 off a Northern Diver wetsuit.
Essentially an 'introduce a friend' scheme, Come Dive with Me aims to work with BSAC members' own friends, family, contacts and networks while rewarding the member for their recruitment efforts.
BSAC Chief Executive Mary Tetley said the Come Dive with Me campaign was a significant step towards directly acknowledging the contribution of BSAC's members.
"BSAC's greatest asset is our members and it is important to recognise their efforts in bringing new members into their clubs. With this new campaign and the generous support of Northern Diver, we are now able to directly reward our existing members whilst helping new members get established as BSAC divers."
The Come Dive with Me campaign is also designed to support BSAC branches' existing recruitment activity as and when it is delivered, including try-dive events, open evenings and local promotions.
Mary added: "We already know that 'word of mouth' is very effective when it comes to new-member recruitment and so we are hoping that Come Dive with Me will really motivate our members to continue to spread the word about their clubs."
