All set for St Abbs photo contest

In its 24th year, the competition remains straightforward with just three categories covering portraiture, atmosphere and humour.

Hundreds of pounds-worth of prizes have been lined up through the support of various sponsors.

Given good water conditions, the potential for some fine photography is high as the reserve teems with marine life.

Entry costs £20 per person and, while registration is possible on site on 27 August, advance booking is advised for the popular, 45-capacity event.

A slide show of entries and announcements of winners take place on the Sunday evening.
