The magic of Mike Portelly

The brilliant and innovative underwater film maker Mike Portelly will be at the London International Dive Show (LIDS) on 6 March, to show and talk about some the creations that have made him internationally famous.

Mike will screen Ocean's Daughter, shot 25 years ago. The unique film, a fictional drama set in the Red Sea, propelled him into the limelight.
Mike will also show his stunning underwater TV commercials, and reveal some of the secrets behind his work.
He will conclude with a pilot film made to drive conservation, and explain his vision for the future, both under water and on land.
LIDS takes place at the ExCel Exhibition Centre, in London's Docklands, over the weekend of 5/6 March. It is organised by the Diver Group in association with the British Sub-Aqua Club.
Tickets cost ?9.50 or, if booked in advance, just ?7 - 50p of which goes to the Tsunami Disasters Emergency Committee.
