Diving to a degree

Sport scuba diving is to be included in a British university's degree course in Outdoor Education.

Kingston University, in Surrey, has announced that it is to introduce a diving module, tutored by BSAC instructors, in its Outdoor Education course commencing next September.
A spokesman described the development as 'unique' at least among Home Counties universities, adding: 'The university has had extensive discussions with BSAC members over this, and we hope that the inclusion of diving in our new degree will become a significant part of it.'
