THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE about Ocean is that this is a very big book. In terms of sheer kilogrammage alone, I'd say it's easily worth £30. It's one of a trio of new books from DK likely to interest divers this Christmas.
If you have ever looked at a Dorling Kindersley encyclopaedia you will know what to expect - a beautifully produced work that encompasses every aspect of our adopted element and includes around 1300 photos and lots of factoids. It even smells good!
This is a reference book or casual browse that any diver will savour and would make a wonderful Christmas gift - and if you hand it over in person, you'll save a hefty charge for stamps!
