This "multi -award winning" short film from Hungary takes us on an underwater tour on
the wrecks of the Red Sea that includes the Thistlegorm, the Salem Express and many more.
Accompanied by a soundtrack from a new-age group called Solaris, the video footage is superb. Shot mostly in black and white, it sets the mood perfectly as we are taken through flooded chambers and around masts enveloped by swarms of glassfish.
However, I felt like Oliver Twist asking for more when I found that the running time was a mere 10 minutes. Yes, there are other features on the DVD, such as a dive tutorial and a two-track music video, but that's not what I wanted. A 16-page colour booklet containing basic data and short histories of the wrecks is also included for dive-trip planning.
I had the film playing on loop while entertaining some guests at home. It did have the desired wow effect, but by the third loop I had lost the audience. It's a wonderfully shot piece of work but, sadly, a 10-minute wonder.
